  • Thoughts on these Miata sests

    https://bham.craigslist.org/pts/d/ma...658095597.html

I got the engine back together and I drove it around a bit to get everything thing settled.

I am considering doing the miata seats and I flufo these.
The seller doesn't know what year they are from. Is there quick check I can do to figure that out?

    Also, is the price fair?

The price is fair, but someone more knowledgeable than me will have to answer about the fit. They are much newer looking than mine, so don't buy them until you get them identified.

Those look like newer high-back Miata cloth seats.

What you want is seats from a model year 1990-1997 (NA= first generation Miata).

Check on Miata.net, there are many advertisers with seats on offer. Or local wrecking yards. $150, should buy seats that don't need recovering.

You will need special seat runners.
Somebody else can tell you where to get them.

Patton Machine for the mounting brackets. Rick mentions the years that fit on this page.

          Thanks, Tush.
Just one data point on Patton's given model years for Miata seats. Which is- there was NO North American Miata for Model Year 1998. '90-'97 is what it should read.

Thanks. I was planning on getting the Patton brackets but I wasn't familiar enough with the different miatas to know which seats went with which years

I like the 90 - 94 seats the best personally, but they do seem to be getting harder to find. I've had pretty good luck here finding them when I posted a wanted ad on CL. They're out there!
