  • Latest Moss TR250 & TR6 catalog makes me really worry!

Imagine my surprise when I sat down to review the latest Moss TR250 & TR6 catalog and find that the entire contents was devoted to MGAs! The cover of Moss catalog TR6-77 shows a nifty works photo of TR6s on the production line. But the entire contents is only for MGAs.. As we say in the Tappets band, “I’d rather push a Triumph than ride in an MG!”

Anyone else get this Moss catalog? Somewhere there’s an MGA guy looking at a TR6 Moss catalog I’m thinking....

In my experience Moss has always been partial to the MG vs Triumph.

That said, they're a business, they'll keep selling whatever is in demand.

Yikes, I hope they didn't order a huge quantity of the new edition! I got a copy of the TR6-76 catalog last month with an order.

Could be a random bindery error. I imagine Moss did a "gang" run of their catalogs and somehow, during the binding stage some MGA catalog guts got bound with TR covers.
I every copy got the wrong covers, then that's a colossal screw up. I sure would not want to be the guy at the print shop that would have to put in that error ticket!
I remember this happened once before, TR covers with Austin Healey parts pages.

I think I feel a song coming on: “The Wreck of The Old TR-MGA!”

Hoping one of our Moss pals chimes in soon on this one...

                  Hi Guys,

I received my new catalog yesterday, but never checked the contents.
After seeing this post I took a look, and mine is all Triumph parts.
Same cover with the TR assembly line.

                    Mike,
I got my catalog in the mail yesterday and the guts an cover match. So, looks like you got a collectors item. Don't let Moss con you into buying it back for a mere pittance. You got a real collectors item there. Now if you could just find the MGA guy with an MG cover and TR guts, you'd have a miss-matching set!

My Moss catalog is the normal TR6 version, but in my recent Rimmer Bros order (of TR6-specific parts) they included a catalog for MG Rover cars. You can get a whole instrument cluster for a Rover 25 for only £10!
