I am thinking of bidding on a 1970 tr6 on BaT today.....but the seller discloses some leaks and seapage in the transmission due to seals etc,Not familiar with the details,I'm a novice but the seller has indicated to me that all theses tr6s have minor leaks..............is that true?He sais the fixes are minor and he would have done them but he has medical issues and does not trust just any mechanic to disturb the originality of the car? Please advise.............thx.

No, they don’t all leak but some do, specially if they have the original dried out seals. If it’s a transmission leak, that’s not trivial as it will have to come out. If it’s the rear main oil seal, the same applies. Oil pan leaks are easier to deal with. Did he send a picture of the leaky area?

That was fun for one lap but I can’t imagine a longer race on the ring.

Wish they had a shot of the tach. That engine sounds like it's ready to fly apart.

I'm surprised the TUV allowed him to drive with that crack in the windshield. If you ever lived in Germany, you'll get it

Thanks Walt! That was some kinda impressive. And to think, they used to actually race formula 1 on that crazy track. I’ve driven it in computer sims and even just sitting in the comfort of your home, that is one scary ride.
