  • removing 12 pin seat belt module connector

I have read lots of posts about defeating the starter relay interlock on a '74 by connecting/jumping W/r to W/o and I will definitely do this, but I am also wondering if I can remove the whole connector as well? I am still in the process of tracing out the implications of which lights may or may not work when you open a door, glove box, etc if I just clip off the connector and connect the two aforementioned wires. If someone has done this previously, I would like to know how it went. Thanks!

As long as you splice together those 2 wires, you can do whatever you want. I unplugged the connector, jumped the 2 wires within the plug then tucked it away, removed the buzzer, sold it on ebay and bravely carried on.

That's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks Ken.
