  • Glove box check strap

Hey all, my glove box check strap has been broken forever and I've never been able to find a replacement. I'm thinking I can maybe pick something up from a hardware store, does anyone know of something that will fit?

Is this a good one for a 3D Printer?

The Rimmers offering looks like sort of a generic replacement. The original looked like the pic below. BTW, in the pic, the lower part was originally plastic, I believe. The one shown is a shop built one of alumin(i)um. If I were doing it today, I'd probably try 3D printing it.

They were metal on the early cars like that on Rimmers.

The one Rimmer sells is the original version for earlier cars, i’ve attached a pic of the one in my ‘69, which is likely the original.

Thanks everyone. Mine is metal, I've got a '69 too. The slider part from the door to the dash is missing. I had looked on ebay and Rimmers, but guess I was doing it wrong.
