  • What are hard tops going for these days?

I am going to look at a couple of hard tops tomorrow.

How much are these going for these days?

Any big gotchas I need to keep in mind as I look at them?

I know the bows bnd the glass are critical. Anything else?

The vent screens are getting scarce...tho mk2 gt6 screens are e exactly the same except they’re polished aluminum vs painted black. I’m sure you can figure that out

Get one as complete as possible. The Tie-bars are like $25 each.

They will nickel & dime you to death but look great when complete

I have seen them range anywhere from $400 to $1500. If you can find one with all the glass and no cancer in the $600 to $700 range you will have scored.

Can't speak to the price but be sure you get the bows for the headliner, they are no longer available. I love the HT and rarely take mine off.

When I bought my TR6 it had a complete hardtop in great condition. It was not on the car when I bought it. Once all the excitement of getting my TR calmed down and I attempted to fit the top to the car, I realized that there was no attachemnt hardware..........
Ask if all the hardware to attach to car is present. If not, everything is available from the usual suspects. Can run into some bucks though.

I have a hardtop for my TR6 that has none of the hardware I need. My neighbor gave me the car and the hardtop but lost all of the hardware while moving. So I need to buy the hardware and attached the top. It in in excellent condition and the headliner and glass are in excellent condition. I guess I truly got llucky with that one.

What are the dimensions of a factory hardtop? Wondering if one would fit in my car for transport.
