  • Finally Here - Greetings!

    Greetings all,

Sadly I have had to ignore [strike]most[/strike] all of Dave's email invites this year as my car has been under the weather with some bad infection in the carburetion / electrification / ignition systems.

Lots of fettling about and the little car seems to be in fine form. Although not related to the carburetion / electrification / ignition issues I do believe that flushing the brakes and putting on new tires did help with the coughing and belching and spitting issue it was having.

As for me, I am John from down Medicine Hat way. I am also the editor of the Oily Rag of VSCCC fame so have met some of you and others have read my words without meeting me.

Although I do have a 6 under the hood, and a T in the model name the other letter is a G and not an R. Hopefully my wee little GT-6 will not get me banished or subjected to too much ridicule.

Now that the season is coming to a close and my car is running so well, its probably time for it to get some miles on it before I devote more of my time to restoring my other GT-6.

Anyhow, that's all for now. And for those of you who are VSCCC members, the next edition of the Oily Rag should hit your inboxes next week.

Welcome Artic. Welcome to 6-Pack. I agree, GT6's are great cars. Almost as cool as the TR6! (I had to say that!)

Great to see you here, John, and even better that you're mobile now! This is a pretty picky bunch of guys here so unless you treat us nicely we may need to do a drive by with a sawzall or can opener and take that roof off!

There's still a couple of good months of driveing so hopefully we'll see the two of you soon.

If you're that good with a sawzall and can opener, there is a lot of metal to be cut away from FeO2 (my project GT6)!!! Although sadly there will be more metal to weld on to it than what will be coming off of it.
