The third issue of 2009 is ready to be mailed. This is again produced by our (by now not so) new editor, David Fidler. I think when you receive it, you'll agree that he's outdone the incredibly high standard he set with the first two. There's a LOT of stuff in here - too much to list, to be fair to all the contributors.
The new format looks truly excellent.
Inside this issue:
Trials Trials and Tribulations, the Canuck Caravan and Don't Forgetboudit - various.
Modern Redlines
Adding that all important stripe. By Andrew Grace.
The first Hardtop Derek Graham

Webmaster's note - I just saw a copy of the calendar. It's stunning. Fid's done a great job on it. You can see low resolution pictures here - 2010 Calendar Preview - but they don't do it justice.
The price of membership has been increased by $5 to $30 annually for US residents, and $35 for the rest of the world.
It's never a popular choice to implement an increase - especially in the current economy - but there's no way to get around it.
The cost of producing and distributing the magazine has increased considerably since the last rate hike (more than ten years ago). The club has been losing money on this for a while now, and we need to maintain a sound financial footing if we are to remain viable.
When we put it to those members present at the TRials membership meeting, the vote was unanimous in favor of a rate increase. We've kept it to the minimum that will keep us solvent, and we believe that this, with some cost reduction measures will suffice for at least the next couple of years unless external factors mean that we have to revisit the issue.
We still feel that the cost is extremely competitive when compared to other car clubs, expecially given the benefits we offer, and we are all committed to maintaining or improving the club to the best of our ability.
